Cycling rallies and competitions organized in Khammam are encouraging healthy lifestyles and promoting sports participation among youth and adults alike.

National-level powerlifter Mamidi Bhumika from Khammam continues to earn recognition after winning district and state-level gold medals. Her achievements have inspired many young women to participate in strength sports.

Khammam Athletics Stadium is being upgraded with an international-standard synthetic running track worth ₹8.5 crore. The project aims to improve sports infrastructure in the district and provide athletes with world-class training facilities. Once completed, the stadium will be capable of hosting state-level and national-level athletics competitions, helping local athletes prepare for higher-level events and improve their performance.

Khammam District Archery Summer Camps received an overwhelming response from young sports enthusiasts, with more than 400 students participating across various training centers. The camps were organized to identify and nurture emerging archery talent while providing professional coaching and modern training techniques. Students from Khammam, Palvoncha, and nearby areas actively took part, making it one of the most successful sports development initiatives in the district. The program also encouraged greater participation of girls in archery, helping promote the sport among youth.

Khammam hosted the CM’s Cup State-Level Archery Championship at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium, bringing together more than 230 talented archers from across Telangana. The four-day event aims to encourage young athletes, promote sportsmanship, and identify emerging talent from rural and urban areas. Players are competing in various categories while showcasing their precision, focus, and archery skills on a state platform.
